Fly Fishing Homosassa
The Old Homosassa Learning Center, a committee of the Homosassa Civic Club, is pleased to announce that Captain Jonathan Hamilton will be presenting a seminar on Fly Fishing Homosassa on Thursday, January 18th at 6:30 pm.
Captain Hamilton said:
“My name is Capt. Jonathan Hamilton (aka Stump). I am a USCG Licensed and insured in-shore fishing guide. I offer fly-fishing and spin fishing trips out of Homosassa Fl. I’ve had the privilege of growing up fishing the Nature Coast (Bayport, Homosassa & Crystal River area).
I currently reside in Brooksville, FL which allows me to fish the waters from Bayport to Crystal River. Although I do spend most of my time fishing out of Homosassa. I am a current member of the Homosassa Guides Association. If you have never experienced the pristine waters of the Nature Coast you really should. It’s one of the last places in Florida that has not been effected by development. It’s a beautiful place and a great fishing estuary. Whether you enjoy fly-fishing or spin fishing I got you covered! I truly enjoy sharing what I have been blessed with, with others.”
During the presentation, Captain Hamilton will be speaking about:
- Fly fishing Homosassa
- Basics of equipment, lines, leaders and flies
- Targeting different species in Homosassa
If time permits, there will be a question and answer session.
The Old Homosassa Learning Center is located at 10950 W. Yulee Drive, Homosassa. The seminar is sponsored by the Homosassa Civic Club as part of the Adult Learning Series. There is no charge to attend.
