Annual fundraiser gives golf players an opportunity to try vintage gear

The Second Annual Old Hickory Antique Golf Tournament will be held at the Meadow Oaks Golf and Country Club on March 16, 2019, and a limited number of spots are available. The event was very popular last year and many teams are anticipated to return again to compete for a trophy and bragging rights.

Attendees will have the opportunity to view, handle, and utilize antique golf gear during 18 holes of golf. In addition to being a fun day on the green, the event is a charitable fundraiser for FOHH (Friends of the Hacienda & Historic New Port Richey), a local non-profit that celebrates the unique history, community, and culture of New Port Richey, Florida.

“We’re excited to bring back this event! People have been asking about it since last year,” says FOHH Board Member Greg Smith. “It’s a fun way to do some good for the community. Come out and enjoy a friendly round of golf, check out the antique gear, and maybe you’ll bring a trophy home!”

Entry fees are $75.00 for individuals or $275.00 per foursome. The entry fee includes 18-holes of golf with cart, use of a hickory club set with three vintage-era golf balls, and banquet.

Top prizes will be awarded at the conclusion of the tournament. Early registration is suggested as spots are limited. Several different corporate sponsorship packages are also available!
