Food Trucks Now Allowed with License in Pasco County

Food trucks not only provide opportunity for special events in a growing marketplace, but are an important resource for communities with fewer brick-and-mortar offerings to address food deficiencies.

“We’re excited to share the delicious and diverse offerings food trucks provide,” said Pasco County Commissioner Kathryn Starkey. “Licensed food trucks not only enhance our festivals and events, but provide economic opportunity beyond the traditional restaurant setting.”

In order to receive a Mobile Food Operations License, applicants must provide all required State of Florida licenses prior to operating within the County.  Once registered, mobile food operations may be located on non-residential, private property with the owner’s permission.  Pasco County plans to identify future county sites as well, such as parks, libraries and more.

Mobile Food Operations Licenses are also available in person at any Pasco Central Permitting location.  The cost is $100 per year, renewed annually.
