Visitors will have the opportunity to experience the History Center’s current temporary exhibitions, “Tusks to Tails: A Fossil History of Florida,” featuring dozens of rare fossils unearthed throughout the state, and “Outpost to Statehood: The Florida Territory,” which explores Florida’s growth from frontier outpost to the 27th state of the United States. In addition to gallery access, guests will also be able to participate in several, family-friendly activities related to Tampa’s sports history.

Museum Day is an annual celebration of boundless curiosity hosted by Smithsonian Magazine. Participating museums across the country emulate the free admission policy at the Smithsonian Institution’s Washington D.C.-based museums.
