The Hernando County Public Library System is now providing patrons the ability to stream entire albums as part of its free online music offering through Freegal® Music Services. The initiative will allow cardholders of the Hernando County Public Library increased access to over 15 million songs from over 40,000 recording labels, including the complete local catalog of Sony Music Entertainment, at any time.

Registered cardholders who would like access to this streaming service can download the Freegal Music Service mobile app. Freegal Music apps are available in the Apple® App Store and Google Play®.

“In addition to our cardholders being able to download five Freegal Music tracks in MP3 format each week, they can now also stream unlimited music every day via the Freegal app at no direct cost to the user” Said Lauren Rouhana, Collection Development Coordinator for the library system. “The library will underwrite the purchase of the music as well as 40,000 popular music videos available for download.”
