FreedomFest Florida: Rock and Country Stars November 10-11 in Brooksville

By Florida's Original NatureCoaster™ Posted on October 25, 2018

The first annual Freedom Fest Florida features legendary rock and country music acts, celebrates America’s Veterans, and donates proceeds to support Wreaths across America and the Florida National Cemetery.

This year’s FreedomFest Florida is going to be held at the Florida Classic Park in beautiful Brooksville on November 10-11, 2018. The event schedule and the major acts and artists have been announced, and include Night Ranger, Morgan Wallen and Jimmie Allen.

Themed “Let Freedom Sing,” the event and entertainers will use their talent to pay tribute to veterans and celebrate their achievements. The public is invited, and there is a Groupon available now for half-price tickets including VIP!

“Some of the celebrities and performers at this first annual patriotic event are national touring acts, some are tribute bands, some are up-and-coming, and some are local acts, but all of these performers love America and want to show their love for our veterans with you at this fantastic festival,” says Shawn Scheller of SSL Talent and Promotions, the festival’s organizer.

Saturday of FreedomFest Florida will be lit up by Night Ranger, the multi-platinum recording artists and legendary musicians with hits such as ‘Sister Christian’, ‘You can still Rock in America’, ‘Goodbye’, and ‘Don’t tell me you love me’.

Night Ranger has sold over 17 million albums and performed at over 3,000 live shows. They will be accompanied by Robby Steinhardt and the music of Kansas (‘Carry on Wayward Son’, ‘Dust in the Wind’). Other artists on November 10’s bill include Corky Laing’s Mountain (‘Mississippi Queen’), The Broken Hearts (Tribute to Tom Petty) , Diary of an Ozzman (Tribute to Ozzy Osbourne & Black Sabbath), legendary Tampa rockers Stormbringer, and the young and talented breaking rock act, Stonegrey.

The second day will be made equally rewarding with a country-themed musical day, led by Morgan Wallen (‘Up Down’, ‘Whiskey Glasses’), and Jimmie Allen (‘Best Shot’). Other Sunday acts include Eagles tribute band Alter-Eagles, Brooksville-based country music breaking artist and songwriter Randy McNeeley, Southern Rumble featuring Jeremy Thomas (formerly and briefly of southern rock legends Blackfoot), breaking young female blues guitarist and songwriter Ally Venable and her band, as well as local artists John Hindman & Mustang Mafia to get the day warmed up, following an honorary tribute and presentation to the Veterans and Armed Forces of the United States of America.

Freedom Fest Florida has been organized to support Wreaths Across America and the Florida National Cemetery.

Wreaths Across America is a not-for-profit organization founded with the mission to ‘Remember, Honor and Teach’ by coordinating wreath-laying ceremonies at more than 1,400 locations throughout the U.S., at sea and abroad.

Wreaths Across America’s mission touches the lives of thousands of school, scout, civic, and religious groups across the country through wreath sponsorship.

For the first time, the 50-acre Florida Classic Park has been readied for a large scale music festival, and will host up to 300 RVs, tent camping, food trucks, vendors and merchants. The park ties together Tampa Bay, Ocala and Orlando.

Priority seating, complimentary food and drinks, a swag bag, and special opportunities to meet some musicians are part of the VIP experience, which costs $150 for one day or $250 for both. Groupon has a half off (about) deal now for all thickets to this event. Just click here to order one for you and a friend.

Camping is available on site, with 300 RV hookup spots and a family camping section available. The Florida Classic Park is a beautiful venue, with high elevations, open spaces and rolling hills. It’s worth a drive from anywhere in the Sunshine State.

The location is also a 20-minute drive from the Florida National Cemetery, supported and maintained by Wreaths Across America (Florida).

Freedom Fest Florida 2018 will commence on November 10, 2018 and gates will be open at 11 am both days.  Remember to get your tickets in advance and at a fantastic discount by taking advantage of the Groupon deal.

If you miss the Groupon, you can still purchase the show ($20/$35 and $150/$250) and camping ($50/$100) by clicking here.
