Gary Marriage Jr. kicks off Citrus Walk Aware for Alzheimers 2018

By Florida's Original NatureCoaster™ Posted on July 27, 2018

Gary Marriage Jr., owner and CEO of Nature Coast Financial Advisors, Inc. has kicked off Citrus Walk Aware for Alzheimer’s 2018 as its first Pacesetter Sponsor with a contribution of $5,000.

Citrus Walk Aware for Alzheimer’s, a community event to raise funds for the non-profit Alzheimer’s Family Organization, will take place in Floral City on October 20, 2018.  It is the centerpiece event of a full week of activity that will begin with a special Alzheimer’s edition of the Citrus County Chronicle on October 14, include a county-wide shoe decorating competition, and end with showings of the Oscar-winning movie “Still Alice” at the historic Valerie Theater in Inverness on October 21, 2018.

Nature Coast Financial Advisors, with offices in Crystal River and Ocala, helps retirees and pre-retirees develop stable financial plans.  As an active member of his community, Mr. Marriage is involved with many charitable organizations, including the YMCA, the American Cancer Society and Relay for Life, the American Heart Association, the Wounded Warrior Project and the National Wildlife and Turkey Federation.

About his decision to become the first major financial supporter of the 2018 Citrus Walk Aware for Alzheimer’s, Marriage said, “I am thrilled for this opportunity.  Alzheimer’s disease has a terrible destabilizing effect on families and our whole community.  I know, my grandfather died of Alzheimer’s, so supporting the Alzheimer’s Family Organization’s efforts to serve and support caregivers is entirely consistent with my company’s mission to help families prepare for financial stability during a time of crisis.”

The Alzheimer’s Family Organization serves an eight-county region in west-central Florida, including Citrus County, and dedicates its resources to educating and supporting families caring for individuals living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.  For more information about the AFO and how to become involved in Citrus County Walk Aware for Alzheimer’s, call 352-422-3663.
