Great Americans Alzheimer’s Awareness Exhibit moving to Beverly Hills

By Florida's Original NatureCoaster™ Posted on November 13, 2017

The Great Americans Alzheimer’s Awareness Exhibit that opened at the Floral City Public Library on October 20 will move to the Central Ridge Public Library on November 15, 2017.

The exhibit, sponsored by Coping with Dementia LLC, contains portraits of 24 great American authors, artists, athletes, musicians, politicians, actors, and entertainers who have succumbed to Alzheimer’s Disease.

Coping with Dementia President Debbie Selsavage explains, “The purpose of this exhibit is to demonstrated how deeply Alzheimer’s and other causes of dementia have affected our society.  No one is immune, and it is growing at a rate that can overwhelm our national health system over the next 20 years.”

In addition to the portraits of great Americans, the exhibit includes a section where citizens of Citrus County may post photos of loved ones they have lost to Alzheimer’s.
