Hernando Audubon Society Meeting: “Thirty Years of Bird Banding”: Researcher Siah St. Clair will talk about what has been learned from banding birds for 30 years at one site in Minnesota.

Hernando Audubon Birding Trip to Big Pine, Saturday, January 11: At 8 a.m. meet in the parking lot of the Big Pine Tract of Chinsegut Wildlife and Environmental Area, 12060 Old Crystal River Road, north of Brooksville. We will walk about 2 miles on a trail through a longleaf pine habitat that leads to a wetland. Expect to see many woodpeckers and winter songbirds. Contact: Eileen: naturecoastbirder5@yahoo.com
Beginning Birding: Friday, January 31, 8 a.m. at Chinsegut Conservation Center, 23212 Lake Lindsey Road, Brooksville. Learn to identify birds at feeders and during a short walk.
