Hernando Audubon Kayaking Trip at Hunters Lake, Saturday, November 5. Meet at the boat ramp at 8 a.m. We plan to kayak this lake for several hours. In addition to a variety of wading birds and ducks, we may be able to see several more elusive birds that have been found on the lake in past years, such as Purple Gallinules, Least Bittern, Sora, and both Night-Herons. Participation on this trip is limited, so please reserve a spot with the trip leader: tomstclair8@gmail.com or 904-303-0919. Please note: the fee for kayaking the lake is $5, payable by credit card only. The boat ramp is at 1202 Kenlake Ave., Spring Hill, FL 34606. To reach the boat ramp, from the intersection of Kenlake Avenue and Applegate Drive, go south on Kenlake Avenue, and turn left just before the ball field. There is no rental concession there, so you must provide your own kayak.
