All Hernando County Government offices will be closed on Friday, July 3, 2020 in observance of Independence Day. Normal business hours will resume on Monday, July 6, 2020.

Animal Services

Animal Services will be closed on Saturday, July 4, 2020 in observance of Independence Day. Normal business hours will resume on Tuesday, July 7, 2020.

Library Services

Library Services will be closed on Friday, July 3 and Saturday, July 4, 2020 in observance of Independence Day. All branches will resume their respective normal business hours on Monday, July 6, 2020.

TheBus
TheBus will provide regular transit services on Friday, July 3, 2020. TheBus will not provide transit services on Saturday, July 4, 2020. Regular operations for TheBus will resume on Monday, July 6, 2020.

Solid Waste and Recycling
All Hernando County Solid Waste facilities will be closed on Saturday, July 4, 2020 in observance of Independence Day. This includes the following facilities:

• Main Landfill – 14450 Landfill Road in Brooksville
• West Hernando Convenience Center – 2525 Osowaw Boulevard in Spring Hill
• East Hernando Convenience Center – 33070 Cortez Boulevard in Ridge Manor

All Hernando County Solid Waste facilities will be closed on the holiday; however, these facilities will be open during normal business hours the remainder of these weeks for residents wishing to dispose of excess trash or recycling. Recycling drop off is available any time at the drop off center located at the Hernando County Government Center on East Jefferson Street.

Residential curbside trash, yard waste and recycling services will be unaffected by the holiday as these services are not regularly scheduled on Saturdays.
