Hernando County launches new website

By Florida's Original NatureCoaster™ Posted on May 24, 2018

Hernando County Government will be launching a new website on Wednesday, May 23.  The new and completely redesigned site at www.HernandoCounty.us provides quick and easy access to government services people use most, as well as easy to find contact information for every department. The attractive, clean and uncluttered design has improved functionality, relevant content and lays the foundation to make it accessible for those with disabilities.

Home page photos, donated by local photographer Sonny Vergara with Skyshadow Photograpy, showcase Hernando County’s natural beauty, culture and charm. Rustic-styled icon buttons link to services most sought by website visitors; including: agendas and minutes, animal services, jobs, forms and applications, fun and public notices. A comprehensive list of meetings, events and news will also keep our viewers informed of county business, status of projects and more. The Board of County Commission meetings and other government meetings will continue to be streamed live.

“We are excited because it is now easier to connect with us and stay informed about what county government is doing for you,” Public Information Virginia Singer explained. “We want this to be a useful tool and seek feedback from the public.”

The goal of the redesign is to provide a functional and user-friendly website that informs, engages and enhances our customers’ experience with Hernando County Government. Spend some time reviewing it and give us your feedback so we can continue to improve the way we communicate with the people who live, work and play in our community.
