Hernando County Library Program Recommendations

The Hernando County Public Library System (HCPLS) announces the following program recommendations. All events are free and the public is encouraged to participate.

  • Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) – Thursday, February 6 from 3:30 – 5:30 p.m. at the Main Library Branch (238 Howell Ave., Brooksville, FL, 34601). Are you interested in playing one of the most popular role-playing games? Come join the library’s D&D club. Whether you are looking for a new group to play with or are playing for the first time, we welcome you! Playing materials will be provided by the library. Light refreshments will be offered. Ages 8 and up.
  • Art Attack – Tuesday, February 18 from 4 – 5:30 p.m. at the West Hernando Branch (6335 Blackbird Ave., Brooksville, FL 34613). Is there a future artist in your family? Come to the library and let your kids be inspired by famous artists and their masterpieces while they make their own work of art. Suggested ages 5-12 and register via HCPLS online calendar. All materials provided.

  • Dogman Party – Thursday, February 20 from 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. at the Spring Hill Branch (9220 Spring Hill Drive, Spring Hill, FL 34608) Children are invited to celebrate Dav Pilkey’s Dogman series with a variety of crafts, games, and activities. All supplies provided.

  • Memory Café – Tuesday, February 25 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the East Hernando Branch (6457 Windmere Road Brooksville, FL 34602). Do you care for someone suffering from early-stage dementia and are looking for ways to keep you both socially connected? Please join our Memory Café, a welcoming, judgment-free environment for adults afflicted by early-stage dementia or Alzheimer’s and their care partners. Memory Café is not a place to “drop off” your loved one. Please register via HCPLS online calendar.
