Hernando County Tree Removal Permit Rules Change

By Florida's Original NatureCoaster™ Posted on October 24, 2019

On October 22, 2019, the Hernando County Board of County Commissioners adopted an ordinance amendment to Chapter 10, Article II and Chapter 23, Article IV to update standards for tree permit exemptions.

These updates were required to comply with the recent changes to the Florida Statutes made by the Legislation during the past Legislative session.

The updates to this ordinance include exemptions from permitting if residential property owners obtain documentation that the tree in question presents a danger to persons or property.
