Hernando County Utilities presents “Palms for your Florida Landscape” class

By Florida's Original NatureCoaster™ Posted on December 5, 2018

The Hernando County Utilities Department (HCUD) Water Awareness Series offers free monthly classes to educate participants on how to protect Florida’s water resources. Residents are invited to attend “Palms for Your Florida Landscape and General Household Pest Control for Homeowners” on December 14, 2018 from 10 a.m. to noon at the HCUD Building located at 15365 Cortez Boulevard in Brooksville.

Nothing says “Florida” quite like a palm tree or two in your landscape. Palm trees can be a big investment for your home. In this class, Extension Director for Hernando and Sumter counties Jim Davis explains which palms to choose for our area and how to properly care for them to protect your investment.

While you enjoy the Florida lifestyle, you don’t want to share it with pest insects. Jim Davis will also present ways to prevent and/or control pest insects in and around our homes and explain the difference between pest and beneficial insects.

Call (352) 754-4705 or visit http://HernandoWAS2019.eventbrite.com to register for this free class.
