Hernando County’s Famous Visitors Presentation

The Historic Hernando Preservation Society is pleased to welcome Mr. Robert Martinez, publisher of Old Brooksville in Photos & Stories, as he presents: “BROOKSVILLE & HERNANDO COUNTY’S FAMOUS VISITORS.”

Mr. Martinez will also talk about ways to identify and date OLD PHOTOGRAPHS Thursday, August 2 at 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM at the Brooksville City Hall, City Council Chambers, 201 Howell Avenue, Brooksville, FL 34601

Billy the Kid to visit the 1885 Train Depot Museum in Brooksville

Don’t miss this unique opportunity to hear the story of William H. Cox II, “BILLY THE KID.”  He recounts his adventure of 30 years ago when he experienced a life-changing event that found him literally living in the footsteps of the legendary figure of the wild wild West, William H. Bonney,  known infamously as “Billy the Kid.” Billy has written an autobiography about his life and adventures entitled: “The Adventures & Times of William H. Cox II, Billy the Kid.”

This event will be held SATURDAY, JULY 28 @ 7 P.M. at the 1885 TRAIN DEPOT MUSEUM, 70 Russell Street, Brooksville, FL 34601 and costs $10. Please RSVP to 352-799-4766  (only 20 seats available)

Brooksville Main Street Upcoming Events

Un-Common-Ly Artsy, July 28, 10 am- 2pm, Downtown Brooksville, 201 Howell Avenue: Un-Common-Ly Artsy is a monthly arts market hosted by Brooksville Main Street that will be held in Historic Downtown Brooksville. It is a fantastic collection of fine artists, crafters, makers and food trucks. The Uptown Art Gallery in Brooksville City Hall will also be open during this time for visitors to view the latest art collections.

Friday Night Live, August 10, 5 PM – 10 PM, Brooksville Bandshell, 205 E. Ft. Dade Avenue: Friday Night Live has become more than just a live music concert series. It’s a community coming together. It’s a city coming alive. You can feel it in the air. Brooksville Main Street is working hard to bring these events to you so you can meet up with family, old friends, and even maybe even make some new ones. It’s making memories. It’s revitalizing a city. There will be live bands, food trucks, games in the park, and even a full bar at each of these events.
