The big bite this week is the anglers continuing to catch sheepshead on the structure and rocks from six feet out to twenty. Incoming tide is the best bite but some will bite as long as there is moving water. Right next to structure is the best place to use live shrimp for bait with a ¼ oz. to 3/8oz. knocker rig on a 1/0 Owner hook. Sometimes casting away from the rock can be productive also,  don’t be surprised to catch a trout or be cut of from a spanish mackerel.

Inshore the trout bite remains very good around the creek mouths and deeper passes. MirrOlure MirrOdines  and D.O.A. 5.5 jerk baits are catching them. On the outside points on the last hour of incoming tide the red fishing has been good on live shrimp.

In the Homosassa River a few keeper mangrove snapper, black drum, small redfish and snook are being caught around the deeper channel edges and docks. This weekend high incoming tide will be in the afternoon.
