The good part about all this cold weather is my gas bill has been at its lowest all year.

River fishing, targeting creek and river mouths are a easy run from most county ramps, easy on fuel and body from freezing.

Live shrimp on the bottom in the rivers has been good for sheepshead, blackdrum, mangrove snapper and redfish. Deep holes along the north side of the rivers where the sun warms the water are the places to fish.

On the outside by the river mouth look for hard bottom with sponges, brain coral and limestone rock for trout. D.O.A. 5.5 glow jerk baits are the best bait.

The near shore rocks are holding sheepshead with the cold water putting them into spawning mode. Live shrimp in the best bait.

The super moon incoming high tide will be midday this coming weekend.
