Homosassa Inshore Fishing Report with Captain Toney

By Captain William Toney Posted on November 10, 2020

With a tropical storm all over us all week not much to tell ya about fishing. Hopefully this weekend its all gone with no cleanup for anyone, besides some soggy lawns.

Normally after a storm like this there is some good fishing but it is important for anglers to remember some safety and logistical issues.

If there are higher then normal tides some boat ramps will not be accessible. Driving through areas that may have high water with your truck or boat could damage personal property with the wake.

I’ve witnessed this from a pickup truck plowing through a flooded road and pushing water into a home that only had a few inches to spare before flooding. Not cool!

On the rivers there are other hazards, like floating debris, that can ruin a lower unit or, much worse, throw someone out of the vessel.

I hope it all happens in our favor and we can get back to some beautiful fall weather with good fishing and hunting.

I appreciate everyone that reads my reports , have a safe week.
