Homosassa Springs Wildlife Park Thanks Its Volunteers

By Kate Spratt Posted on April 19, 2022

Letter to the Editor:

The staff and management of Ellie Schiller Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park would like to thank our community of volunteers for their dedication of time and energy to the success of our Park.

From pressure washing sidewalks and building fences to caring for wildlife and providing programs, our volunteers are invaluable to daily park operations. In 2021, 148 volunteers worked 21,976 hours parkwide, assisting with daily operations and creating countless memories with visitors and staff.

April 17-23 is Volunteer Appreciation Week

April 17 – April 23 is Volunteer Appreciation Week; however, we want our volunteers to know that they are valued and appreciated on the other 51 weeks of the year as well. Thank you for all that you do to influence our community and the beautiful State Park that it surrounds.

If you’re not a volunteer yet and are interested in joining our first-class team, visit floridastateparks.org/volunteers to find more information and apply online.

Sincerely,

The Ellie Schiller Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park Team
