Hernando County Office of Emergency Management announces that through October 15, 2017, residents can call 1-800-451-1954 to receive help with home cleanup due to Hurricane Irma. This service is comprised of reputable and vetted relief agencies who work for free and provide the tools and equipment necessary to assist with the following:

  • Cut up fallen trees
  • Tarp roofs
  • Remove drywall, insulation, flooring, furniture, appliances, etc.

All services are free, but are not guaranteed due to the overwhelming need.

This hotline cannot assist with social services such as food, clothing, shelter, insurance or questions about FEMA registration. Volunteers work free of charge and provide the tools and equipment necessary to complete the work.
