The City of Inverness, with careful planning and cautiously looking at the drought conditions, is moving forward with Patriotic Evening on July 3. The display will be done over a large body of water, which will present a safety buffer.
The Inverness Fire Department will be on hand, as always, in the event of an issue with the fireworks display itself.
The dry conditions this year looks to be the same as in previous years up to July, and, hopefully, rain in the evenings will start as they have in the past.
We encourage the community to attend this event on July 3, rather than purchasing fireworks for personal use. We remind residents of the City of Inverness’ burn ban, which includes the use of personal fireworks in your neighborhoods.
