January 2019 children and teen Hernando County Library events

The Hernando County Public Library System (HCPLS) announces the following children and teen events in January. All events are offered free of charge.

Minecraft Afternoon– Wednesday, January 30 from 4-5:30 p.m. at the Spring Hill Library Branch (9220 Spring Hill Drive, Spring Hill, FL 34608). Do you enjoy playing Minecraft? Well, now you can play it at the library!  Join other Minecraft fans and spend the afternoon, building, exploring, and crafting. Recommended for ages 8-12.

Art Attack! – Tuesday, January 15 from 4-5:30 p.m. at the West Hernando Branch (6335 Blackbird Ave., Brooksville, FL 34613.) Is there a future artist in your family? Come to the Library and let your kids be inspired by famous artists and works of art. Kids between the suggested ages of 6 – 12 will learn about a famous artist and then make their own work of art. All materials provided.

Game On! – Every Saturday from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the East Hernando Branch (6457 Windmere Rd., Brooksville ,FL, 34602.) Enjoy family gaming every Saturday at the East Hernando Branch. Whether you enjoy video games or board games, you will have a great time with your friends and family on Saturdays. All ages are welcome.

Glow in the Dark Storytime – Wednesday, January 16, from 4:30-5:15 p.m. at the Spring Hill Branch (9220 Spring Hill Drive, Spring Hill, FL 34608.) Get ready for a family storytime like you have never seen before! Using black lights and other glowing accessories, families will enjoy stories, songs, crafts and more.
