January HCUD Water Awareness Series

The Hernando County Utilities Department (HCUD) Water Awareness Series offers free monthly classes to educate participants on how to protect Florida’s water resources. Residents are invited to attend “How Hernando Citizens Contribute to Science” on Friday, January 10, 2020, from 10 a.m. to noon at the HCUD building located at 15365 Cortez Boulevard in Brooksville. Registration is required.

From lakes to springs, to wetlands and coasts, volunteers help protect our sensitive waterways. UF/IFAS Extension Hernando County Marine Agent Brittany Hall-Scharf will discuss the ways in which Hernando citizens, young, old and in between, contribute to the health and well-being of our natural water systems. Light refreshments will be served.

Call (352) 754-4705 or visit http://HernandoWAS2020.eventbrite.com to register for this free class.
