JG Ranch closes for Season

By Florida's Original NatureCoaster™ Posted on June 22, 2020

JG Ranch will be closing the gates from June 20th until November, when strawberry season is back!

“We want to thank everyone for sticking with us through these last few months with everything going on in the world. We also want to thank everyone for coming out to our farm this season and picking with us. It’s been a wonderful time sharing our farm with all of you!” says Joan Casey, the Farm’s matriarch.

Stay updated with Facebook on the farm’s activity until then! There’s a lot of work to be done before harvesting can begin again.

Farm Fresh Eggs

The fruit may be gone, but the chickens won’t stop laying! You can come out all summer to purchase JG Ranch‘s farm fresh eggs! Be sure to call ahead to reserve a dozen and make an appointment to pick them up.

JG Ranch Plans for the 2020-2021 Farm Season

Next year we hope to have even more strawberry plants and more varieties!

The farm will be trying out a new variety of blackberries that not only produce more fruit, but also come in much earlier!

The Caseys are also trying out growing peaches and papayas at JG Ranch! If all goes well, they expect to have both next spring, during blueberry season.

You can call the farm with any questions at 352-799-0556.
