Description of duties: THIS IS AN OPS POSITION. IT IS NOT CAREER SERVICE. Provides secretarial and staff support for the lead area biologist and staff at the Chassahowitzka Wildlife Management Area. Activities in support of these positions shall include: 1) processing invoices, requisitions, purchasing card charges, and other administrative paperwork; 2) assisting with procurement of commodities and services; 3) assisting in developing and tracking operational budgets and plans; 4) preparing and organizing all correspondence and project-related files; 5) providing routine clerical support, including managing correspondence, maintaining stocks of office supplies, and photocopying; 6) maintaining calendars and making meeting or travel arrangements; 7) researching and assembling data for reports; 8) serving as a member of the regional service center, which may include assisting with region-wide functions; 9) receiving and routing telephone calls; 10) responding to public requests for publications, rules, status of projects, and other information; 11) providing assistance to other sections/offices/divisions; and 12) completing other duties as assigned or needed.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities: Experience with: computers, including Internet Explorer, and the Microsoft Office software package, especially Word and Excel; professional office/secretarial/accounting experience with filing, bookkeeping, and customer service.
