After several successful virtual camps, Citrus County Parks and Recreation will offer an exciting virtual arts camp over the upcoming Spring Break.

Kids Can Enjoy Virtual Camp Over Spring Break with Citrus County Parks and Recreation

The event will last 4 days, from Monday, March 29 through Thursday, April 1, 2021. The camp will include drawing and painting, games and crafts, and hula hooping.

“We have a great bunch of craft projects for spring time that we’ll be leading, including Easter cartooning, painting pots and wind chimes for the porch or garden, and creating Spring themed drawings and paintings,” said Andrea Cuccaro, Recreation Program Specialist.

What you’ll need to participate: A computer, tablet or smart phone complete with a microphone and camera for your child to communicate with instructors and campers online.  Your child will receive a complete art kit with acrylic and watercolor paints, paintbrushes, colored pencils, sketching pencils, pastels, canvases, craft materials, and a hula-hoop.

The cost is $45 per child. Camp will be open to children ages 11 to 14. Camp will be held between 9am and 4pm each day with a one hour lunch from noon to 1pm. A maximum of ten campers will be hosted and the camps tend to fill up quickly. The deadline to register is Thursday, March 25, 2021.

Register at: apm.activecommunities.com/citruscountyparks or call the Citrus County Parks and Recreation Administration office at (352) 527-7540 for more information.
