Lectures on the Lawn: The Founding of St. Augustine

Join Pasco County Parks, Recreation, and Natural Resources for an evening of Florida history and live entertainment under the stars in the latest installment of the Lectures on the Lawn cultural series.  Enjoy a special presentation of “Mutinies, Massacres, Shipwrecks, and a Hurricane: The Story of the Founding of St. Augustine, Florida” Thursday, September 19, 2019, at Starkey Ranch District Park.

The keynote for this free event will feature Dr. Michael Francis of the Department of History and Politics at the University of South Florida, St. Petersburg.

WHAT:  Lectures on the Lawn – Mutinies, Massacres, Shipwrecks, and a Hurricane: The Story of the Founding of St. Augustine, Florida

WHEN:          Thursday, September 19, 2019 7:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.

The lawn-seating event also features live music by Mallory Moyer, nouveau-folk singer and guitarist – so bring your chairs and blankets!

Enjoy wine tasting and sales onsite, as well as delicious food truck offerings including sandwiches and other handhelds.  BYOB is permitted, but please have your ID ready if you choose to consume alcoholic beverages on site.
