The Friends of Homosassa Springs Wildlife Park was established in 1991 to provide support to the Park and to help conserve and enhance the wildlife and other resources of the Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park and to expand public interest in the heritage of the natural environment it represents. Our support areas include volunteerism, Park programs and financial support.

The Historic Hernando Preservation Society is a private non-profit organization whose mission is to support and encourage ongoing interest and research relating to the history of the original Hernando County, Florida, including aspects of Archaeology, Architecture and Culture of current day Hernando, Citrus and Pasco Counties. Join us the first Thursday of each month.
The Foundation was founded in 2000 to support and produce equine events. The Little Everglades Steeplechase was held annually in March from 2000 until 2009. The Little Everglades International Combined Driving Event was held from 2010 until 2012. We are looking for substantial sponsorship to revive the Steeplechase!
