Master Gardener Volunteers Honored

The UF/Citrus County Extension Office recognized both Jim Bruno and Casey Wyzgowski on December 22, 2020, for donating over 4,000 hours of time in their tenure as Master Gardener volunteers.

Master Gardener Volunteers Honored

Mr. Bruno is one of the earliest volunteers at the Citrus County Extension approaching 30 years and Mr. Wyzgowski has served as a volunteer for 20 years.

Each year, Master Gardeners receive continued training on plants, pests, diseases, and proper plant care.  Despite COVID placing some limits on their face-to-face seminars and plant clinics, Master Gardener volunteers still donated over  a total of 5,000 hours in 2020.

These individuals provide a tremendous service to the citizens of our community.  To reach a Master Gardener with gardening questions, call 352-527-5709 or email them at [email protected]
