The Hernando County Parks and Recreation Department is seeking teams to play in the upcoming Men’s Adult Flag Football (4 on 4) and Softball Leagues. Nature Coast Officials is seeking officials to umpire and referee for these adult leagues.

Men’s flag football and softball leagues seek teams and officials

Men’s Adult Flag Football League

The Men’s Adult Flag Football League will begin on July 10, 2020. The cost is $300 per team and participants must provide their own flag belts. The deadline to sign up is July 3, 2020. Teams play double header games each week for a 10-game schedule, plus play-offs. Games are played on Friday nights at 6:30 p.m. at the following locations:

• Delta Woods Park (3400 Deltona Boulevard in Spring Hill)
• Veterans Memorial Park (12254 Spring Hill Drive in Spring Hill)

Men’s Adult Softball League

The Men’s Softball League will begin August 2020. The cost is $350 per team, plus a $20 players fee, per player. The deadline to sign up is July 27, 2020. Divisions A, B, C and D are offered so players can select their skill level. You may have your name placed on a list to be selected for a roster or you can start your own team. A mandatory coach’s meeting will be held on June 29, 2020 at 6 p.m. at Anderson Snow Park baseball pavilion. Those who are interested in starting a team must attend this meeting in order to register. Those who are interested in joining a team are welcome to attend as this would be a great opportunity to meet the league coaches. Games are played Monday through Friday with two games per night starting at 7:05 p.m. and 8:10 p.m. at the following locations:

• Veterans Memorial Park (12254 Spring Hill Drive in Spring Hill)
