MFCS Senior Services will be providing many of their clients with hurricane supply packages that include: a backpack full of emergency supplies sufficient for two people for three days; a weather radio; a portable power station; and, a package of dry ration food.

“I am thankful that our staff thought outside the box of the normal services we provide to our senior clients,” said Michael Georgini, CEO of MFCS. “Many of the clients we serve through the Senior Services program are low-income or live alone, so they may not otherwise have had the opportunity to prepare for hurricane season.”

“Hurricane season is most critial to the seniors in our communities,” said MFCS Senior Services Director Steve Homan.  “I am glad we are able to provide our clients with these supplies so they can be better prepared.”

If you want to prepare an emergency kit for your family consider including items such as: medicines, water, first aid kit, and toilet paper, to name a few. Also consider adding items that can help protect you and others from COVID-19 such as hand sanitizer, soap, and face coverings.
