Moon Over the Mounds series begins October 26 for 2018-2019 season
Six events will offer visitors an opportunity to participate in guided evening walks
The Friends of the Crystal River State Parks, Inc., in partnership with the Florida Park Service, Florida Public Archaeology Network and Gulf Archaeology Research Institute will kick off the fall season with the popular Moon over the Mounds guided evening walking tours Friday October 26, 2018 at the Crystal River Archaeological State Park.
Professional guides will lead visitors through the sacred site and inspire visitors to envision what life was like living on the Crystal River from 500 BC to AD 950.
The museum building opens at 7:30 p.m. tours will begin at 8:00 p.m. and end at approximately 9:30 p.m. Suggested donations of $5.00 per person will be applied to sustaining future interpretive programming in the park.
The state park is located at 3400 N Museum Pointe; northwest of the Crystal River Mall. Drive North on U.S. 19, turn West onto State Park Street, and then left onto Museum Pointe.
