New Cattle Dog Coffee Roasters Lunch Menu: January-March 2019

Cattle Dog Coffee Roasters has been serving premium roasted coffee from around the world for over a decade. Customers can select from more than 30 flavors of fresh roasted coffee, as well as cappuccino, espresso, loose leaf teas, and cold brew. They even make custom flavors for decaf lovers, but this four store Nature Coast-based chain provides amazing food as well as cutting-edge coffee options.

Owners James and Heather Cook have brought hospitality to the forefront at each of their four locations: two in Hernando, one in downtown Inverness, and one in the Citrus Memorial Hospital (Inverness).

Cattle Dog prides itself on each store being a place where customers can come for fresh baked pastries, salads, delicious sandwiches, lobster rolls, omelettes, and more. The menu changes several times a year to keep patron’s choices new and exciting. ALWAYS save room for an almond horn.

Last April, James won the Golden Ticket at the Taste of Inverness, propelling him to the WFC in 2018, where he finished 4th of the Top 10 Chefs in the World Food Championships!

After growing up in the restaurant business in California, getting a Bachelor’s degree in Restaurant Management from Johnson and Wales University in Rhode Island and running a 400-seat restaurant in Indiana, James and his lovely bride, Heather came to Citrus County to reopen Cattle Dog Coffee Roasters Hernando location. Cattle Dog’s first location was originally concepted and opened by Stephen Dorst in 2008.

Organic baby spinach tossed in avocado vinaigrette, decorated with a blend of sweet dried cranberries, edamame, roasted corn, baby Heirloom tomatoes, sweet Bermuda onion, cucumber, garbanzo beans and bleu cheese 7.25,  Add chicken 10.25       

Tomato White Bean

Organic Arcadia mixed greens, baby heirloom tomatoes, white northern beans, Kalamata olives, roasted red pepper, sweet red onion, artichoke hearts and fresh Tuscan herbs tossed in house made lemon vinaigrette and shaved Parmesan 7.25, Add chicken 10.25


Braised Pot Roast

On house made flat bread with sun-dried tomato, roasted garlic spread topped with horseradish Boursin cheese, baby tomatoes, organic baby arugula, braised pot roast, caramelized onions and balsamic glaze 10.25

Rustic Prime Rib Panini

Tuscan bread with a dual inspired BBQ spread topped with arugula, shaved prime rib, charred sweet red onions, sharp cheddar cheese and balsamic glaze then pressed 8.95

 Pot Roast Pretzel Sandwich

A pretzel bun layered with slow cooked pot roast, caramelized onions, Dusseldorf mustard, baby Swiss cheese, pressed and served with a tangy horseradish mustard baby arugula. 8.75

Herb Encrusted Chicken 

House made rosemary, garlic, parmesan focaccia, sundried tomato spread, Tuscan herb pulled chicken, baby arugula, tomatoes, pesto, crispy prosciutto, smoked Gouda cheese 8.25

Honey Ginger Pork Tortillas

Gluten free corn tortillas spread filled with jasmine rice, Asian BBQ infused pulled pork, topped pickled onions, fresh cilantro cream a side of our award winning Asian slaw 8.50

Honey Roasted Glazed Carrot Panini

Tuscan bread with a maple cider goat cheese spread, roasted glazed carrots, baby arugula, charred red onions, and roasted red pepper 8.25

Cranberry Pecan Chicken Salad Sandwich

Diced chicken breast with sweet pecans and tart cranberries mixed together and layered on top of a bed of romaine and pumpernickel bread 8.25

Californian Black Bean Burger Wrap

House crafted black bean burger with Hass avocado spread, mixed greens, tomatoes, feta cheese, pickled sweet onions, rosemary herb spread served in a wrap 8.25

Crimini Mushroom and Beef

Thinly sliced prime rib, sautéed tarragon crimini mushrooms, charred onions, Boursin cheese spread and mixed greens all wrapped up in a sundried tomato wrap 8.95

Roasted Tuscan Chicken Wrap

Sun dried tomato tortilla with herb pulled chicken, World Food Championship winning tomato bacon jalapeno jam, organic mixed greens, roasted asparagus Boursin cheese, all wrapped up 8.25

CD Muffaletta

House made ciabatta with Creole spread, marinated olive salad mix, salami, ham, mortadella, provolone, mozzarella, baby arugula and cold pressed to infuse all the flavors 8.95
