The Hernando County Public Library System (HCPLS) announces that effective Monday, August 3, 2020, there will be a change in operating hours for its four branches.

New operating hours for Hernando County Library Services

• The Main Library Branch (238 Howell Ave., Brooksville, FL 34601) and the West Hernando Branch (6335 Blackbird Ave., Brooksville, FL 34613) will operate with the following schedule:
  • Monday through Wednesday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.
  • Thursdays from Noon until 8 p.m.
  • Fridays from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.
  • Closed Saturday and Sunday

• The Spring Hill Branch (9220 Spring Hill Dr. Spring Hill, FL 34608) and the East Hernando Branch (6457 Windmere Rd, Brooksville FL 34602) will operate with the following schedule:
  • Tuesday & Wednesday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.
  • Thursdays from noon until 8 p.m.
  • Friday & Saturday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.
  • Closed Sunday and Monday

Please note that as we navigate through uncertain COVID-19 times, we will continue to close each branch for two hours daily from noon until 2 p.m. and on Thursdays from 3-5 p.m. for enhanced cleaning procedures.

HCPLS will continue providing e-resources through their library website, www.HernandoCountyLibrary.us, available 24 hours a day.
