New Port Richey FarmNet will open a new farmer’s market at the West Pasco Habitat for Humanity (4131 Madison, New Port Richey, 34652). Official opening is Saturday, June 3, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The market will also be online, with ordering throughout the week and pick up on Saturdays.
This is a great opportunity for local growers to sell their produce while also providing an opportunity to meet other growers and participants in the growing local-food community in New Port Richey.
West Pasco Habitat for Humanity is a founding member of FarmNet along with Friendship Farms & Fare and Grand Gardens. Growers who want more information about offering produce for sale, or shoppers interested in ordering fresh organic produce for purchase may stop by Habitat for Humanity during market hours or contact Anne Short at [email protected]
Every week, online ordering opens Sunday evenings and closes Thursday at 5:00 p.m., for Saturday pickup. For the grand opening, ordering starts on Sunday (May 28) and closes on Thursday (June 1). Growers can place items for sale and have them listed by the time online ordering opens. They will receive an email from the market with shopper’s orders listed.
Shoppers with orders may stop by the Habitat location and pick up purchases and also learn more about the Habitat’s Community Gardens located on the site.
Local growers are welcome to participate in either or both the online market or the Saturday morning market at Habitat for Humanity.
If you have questions about the online market, please feel free to contact Anne Short via email, [email protected], or telephone (727 808-3515).
