Cindy’s Pets feeds the pets of seniors who utilize the Meals on Wheels program in Pasco County. The mission of this 100% volunteer driven organization is to provide nutritional food for senior’s pets. With our Strawberry Festival annual fundraiser, our goal is to raise enough funds to provide meals for senior’s pets for the entire year.

Cindy’s Pets, a 501c(3) non-profit, was organized in 2010 in memory of Cindy Allgood, pet-lover extraordinaire, to helps pets and their owners in Pasco County.

Cindy’s Pets’ founders contacted the Meals on Wheels program in Pasco County to see where the organization could be beneficial. Organizers were told that senior citizens participating in Pasco County’s Meals on Wheels program frequently gave a portion of their food to their pets for financial reasons. This group got together and decided to do something about that. After all, those pets are often the senior’s only companion. As a result, Cindy’s Pets decided to deliver pet food for the pets of seniors.

Monthly volunteers from Cindy’s Pets purchase, pack and deliver pet food to the homes of senior citizens throughout Pasco County. Currently, the group delivers 2,000 pounds of cat, dog, and bird food to over 400 pets each month.
