The City of New Port Richey Parks and Recreation Department is pleased to announce it has been awarded FRPA’s Agency Excellence Award in the Economic Impact.

The Florida Recreation and Park Association Agency Excellence Award recognizes and honors the state’s outstanding community Park, Recreation or Leisure Service agencies for excellence in Parks and Recreation management.

This Agency Excellence Award focuses on agencies excelling at positioning themselves as key participants and providers in the category of Economic Impact. Award winners have demonstrated that their programming and facilities support their improvement and concentration in Economic Impact.

Only one Agency Excellence Award is given annually in the category of Economic Impact and is awarded without regard to city population or budget.  All cities within the State of Florida may apply and are judged on the same criteria of what degree the department improved, enhanced or created value within their community, development and/or acquisition as well as natural areas management, support and improvement of facilities, programming, administration and management as well as marketing and promotion of programs and activities and the overall benefit the Parks and Recreation Department brought to their community.
