Oak Hill Hospital Site-Host for Special Olympics Celebration of Athletes

Oak Hill Hospital announces that it is the site-host for the Special Olympics of Hernando County’s Celebration of Athletes on Saturday, November 17, 2018, from 10 am to noon. The celebration will be held at the Oak Hill Hospital Graduate Medical Education Center, 11307 Cortez Boulevard, Brooksville, Florida 34613.

The celebration honors the memory of Mark Swiconek. Mark was a long time Special Olympics athlete and leader whose life was devoted to serving. He was employed at Oak Hill Hospital and he was an active member of St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church and Toastmasters International.

The celebration will include:

  • Athlete procession with Knights of Columbus from St. Theresa Catholic Church
  • Volunteer recognition honoring outstanding volunteers and coaches
  • Athlete information and volunteer opportunities

Those who attend will have an opportunity to learn about the program and how to get involved.
