Hernando County Master Gardener Nursery Open Year-Round

The UF/IFAS Hernando County Master Gardeners have expandid  their nursery’s inventory to carry more native plants for sale year-round. We also carry a wide selection of Florida-Friendly landscape ground-covers, flowers, shrubs, and trees.

Florida Native plants are particularly suited to our climate.  They were growing in what is now Florida before European contact.

Native plants support native insect and bird populations.   Our featured native varieties include St. John’s wort, lantana, calamint, rouge plant, goldenrod, ironweed, river oats, bird pepper, shiny blueberry and wild coffee.

The nursery is located at 19490 Oliver Street, Brookville 34601 (behind the county fairgrounds).  Hours are 9 to noon, Saturdays and Wednesdays.  Master Gardeners will be on hand to answer  questions about how you may be able to include these and the other Florida-Friendly plants in your landscape.
