By Florida's Original NatureCoaster™ Posted on June 11, 2018

Get ready kids and parents, the summer is for you. For just $269 per child you will have the camp with the coolest adventures including Manatees, Dolphins, Kayaking, Air Boat, Scallops plus Buccanneer Bay.

From the sunrises and sunsets to watching the waves and enjoying a little time on the deck, going out on the water is always a good time. The kids of Homosassa and the “Old Homosassa Snorkeling Center” provides a chartered boating and real adventure of the Homosassa area.

From seeing the manatees, learning how to snorkel with the buddy system, kayaking, to airboating and learning on how to take care of our river system. This camp is awesome, with no more than 24 classmates, you will enjoy a more one-on-one experience with this camp.

An introduction to snorkeling in Snorkeling the Homosassa Springs is where we will teach the basics of snorkeling, learning safety and the buddy system.  Our Snorkeling with Manatees day will teach respect of wildlife as well as the proper and legal way to enjoy our unique ecosystem and the home of our beloved manatees.

Snorkeling in the Gulf of Mexico is where we will teach our participants how to identify different fish species, sea turtles, sea stars, sponges and more.  The Airboat Tour on the Homosassa River will be a fun, fast and educational experience of the river and its different habitats, eco systems, flora, and fauna.

Our Introduction to Kayaking will be done on Chassahowitzka River, as we slowly paddle down river in search of an array of wildlife and snorkeling the beautiful springs that only the Chassahowitzka can supply.

The older kids (12 – 16) will also spend a day of scalloping in the Gulf of Mexico, when we will teach about scallops and their life cycle, and how to catch their own dinner.  The last day of camp will be a full day at Weeki Wachee’s Buccanneer Bay Water Park, where the kids can play, splash and slide to their heart’s content, see the Mermaid show and grab the river cruise.

Next year we will be adding archery camps for all  kids, plus an Air Rifle target shooting experience. Sign up now because classes are limited and we only take 24 students per course.
