Parks and Recreation to open limited capacity facility rentals June 8

In accordance with the Governor’s Executive Order 20-139, the Hernando County Parks and Recreation Department will open building/pavilion rentals to the public with limited capacity beginning June 8, 2020. The following guidelines will be applied in order to keep our citizens and staff safe during this time:

  • Inside event rental capacity – 50 percent of approved building capacity
  • Outside event rental capacity – 50 people or less
  • Citizens are encouraged to follow Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines for social distancing and sanitization when utilizing county facilities

Contact the Parks and Recreation Department at (352) 754-4031 or visit www.HernandoCounty.us/Parks_Rec to schedule a facility rental, download the rental forms and for more information on capacity limits per building/pavilion.

Hernando County Government’s Office of Emergency Management recommends visiting the following web and social media sites for more information:

  • Residents should monitor trusted sources of information such as the Florida Department of Health (FDOH) website at www.FloridaHealth.gov/COVID-19 and the CDC website at www.CDC.gov to learn the facts and to follow recommendations to prevent the spread of disease
  • FDOH has set up a call center for general questions regarding COVID-19 at (866) 779-6121, operating 24/7
  • Download the FDOH StrongerThanC19 app for free, available for iOS and Android devices, to participate in the community action survey launched on April 3, 2020
