Pasco CARES Act Funding Request Program Assists Non-Profits

Pasco County not-for-profit businesses can now apply for reimbursement of qualifying expenses related to COVID-19 under the new Pasco CARES Act Funding Request Program.  The Pasco Board of County Commissioners has appropriated $4 million in federal CARES funding to the initiative designed to assist with items not previously budgeted for, such as personal protective equipment and allowable medical, public health and payroll expenses.

Requests for any CARES Act funding must adhere to Department of Treasury guidelines and payments from the fund can only be used to cover the following:

  • Necessary expenses incurred due to the public health emergency with respect to COVID-19.
  • Expenses not accounted for in a budget most recently approved as of March 27, 2020, (the date of enactment of the CARES Act) for the state or government.
  • Expenses incurred during the period beginning March 1, 2020, and ending December 30, 2020.

The Pasco CARES Act Funding Request Program is now accepting applications for reimbursement.
