Pasco County Adopts New FEMA Flood Insurance Rate Maps

Pasco County Floodplain Management encourages property owners to use our interactive, online tool to find out how proposed flood hazard data contained in the new Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs) could impact your property.  The new Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Flood Insurance Rate Maps will go into effect June 5, 2020.

FIRMs identify flood hazards throughout the county and help determine flood insurance rates.   Click here to see how the new maps could affect you: bit.ly/PascoFIRMs.

Pasco County encourages you to contact your insurance agent to determine if the new maps affect your flood insurance premiums.

Pasco County strongly recommends that all new construction and substantial improvements meet the higher Base Flood Elevation shown on the preliminary Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) and Flood Insurance Study (FIS) report, if applicable.
