Pasco County Animal Services looking for Temporary Foster Homes

By Florida's Original NatureCoaster™ Posted on August 24, 2017

Animal Services is asking for assistance during shelter renovation

Pasco County Animal Services (PCAS) is undergoing some much-needed renovations at the shelter in Land O’ Lakes.  Construction work is underway from now through Friday, August 25, 2017 to reduce noise levels in the shelter.

The well being of Pasco County’s shelter pets, customers and staff is a top priority for PCAS, which is why all shelter dogs in Building ‘A’ will have to leave the building during the renovation project.

Pasco County Animal Services requests community assistance to provide safe, temporary homes for the dogs who have to be moved out during renovations.  If you are able to provide a short-term foster home, please contact Animal Services at 813.929.1212 or at [email protected].

Due to lack of space during this construction project, dog intakes will be limited to emergencies only through August 25, 2017.  Please bear with us as these improvements will greatly benefit customers, staff and shelter pets waiting patiently for their forever homes.

The Pasco County Animal Services Department is dedicated to promoting and protecting the health, safety and welfare of animals and people.  Visit the Pasco County Animal Services Adoption Center at 19640 Dogpatch Lane, Land O’ Lakes, Florida.  We’re open Tuesday through Saturday, from 12:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.  For more information, including volunteer opportunities, please visit our website at:
