Rescue 37 going in service September 1, 2017

Pasco County Fire Rescue is pleased to announce the addition of ambulance service to Pasco County Fire Rescue Station 37, located at 18015 State Road 54 in Land O’ Lakes, effective September 1, 2017.

Fire Station 37 is located near the entrance of the Ballantrae neighborhood, in Land O’ Lakes.  The new Rescue 37 will provide coverage for the western area of Land O’ Lakes, Lutz and surrounding areas.  Six paramedics and EMT’s are being added (to cover 24-hour shifts) to staff the new truck.

“This new unit will bridge the gap between eastern Land O’ Lakes and Trinity and will help reduce response times in the area,” said Pasco County Fire Chief Scott Cassin.

Fire Station 37 has seen an increase in service over the past few years and has been relying on rescue units from surrounding stations.  The population of the area is also growing, with the addition of the Bexley community and the Long Lake Ranch neighborhood.
