Pasco County Libraries host food & fun ‘Summer Break Spots’
Children can enjoy free lunch and fun programs at four west Pasco Libraries
Four west Pasco Libraries are proud to be hosting a Pasco County Schools’ Summer Break Spot – featuring a Lunch Bus serving free, nutritious meals to all children ages 18 and under. Enrollment is not required for this free program.
“We are especially proud of this long-running partnership between the Libraries and Pasco County Schools,” said Bob Harrison, Pasco County Libraries Public Communications Specialist. “When schools let out, not every child has access to nutritious food. By bringing the lunch bus to the libraries we are able to nourish both their minds and their bodies.”
The libraries are among more than 90 sites in Pasco County hosting Summer Break Spots. Lunch Buses are at the following Library branches, Monday through Friday, at these times:
- Centennial Park Library, 5740 Moog Rd, Holiday
- 1:00 p.m. – 1:45 p.m.
- Hudson Regional Library, 8012 Library Rd, Hudson
- 12:45 p.m. – 1:45 p.m.
- Regency Park Library, 9701 Little Rd, New Port Richey
- 11:15 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.
- South Holiday Library, 4649 Mile Stretch Dr, Holiday
- 12:00 p.m. – 12:45 p.m.
The Summer Break Spots will run through Friday, August 4, 2017. (Lunch Buses will not be on site Tuesday, July 4.)
Libraries have scheduled programming and events around the Lunch Bus stops – including Storytime, Summer Movies and Summer Reading Club events. Events either finish just before the bus arrives, or begin after the bus leaves.
