Pasco County Pet of the Week
Mia (ID: 49620447) is a friendly, playful girl in the market for her forever home. This 9-year-old weighs about 55 pounds. She knows the sit, down, stay and come commands, and she takes treats gently. She is attentive, especially when food is involved. She sometimes pulls on a leash, but corrects easily. This sweet girl likes people and loves butt scratches! She previously lived with other dogs but can be selective when making friends. As always, slow introductions and careful supervision are key. Mia has a couple of health conditions that Pasco County Animal Services staff would be happy to discuss with you. Make an appointment with Pasco County Animal Services today to meet her!
Phoenix (ID: 47474892) is the sweetest girl! This 6-year-old weighs about 55 pounds. She is wonderful with children of all ages and also participates in playgroups with other dogs, preferring those that are gentle. She loves to give kisses, but can sometimes get a little too exuberant. Once she settles, though, she likes to lie down and relax. She walks beautifully on a leash, sits on command and takes treats gently. Phoenix did test positive for heartworms, and she is being treated for an injury to her hind leg. Pasco County Animal Services staff members would be happy to discuss a long-term plan with you. One look into Phoenix’s eyes, and you’re sure to fall in love.
