Pasco County Public Transportation introduces new Moon Lake Area route

By Florida's Original NatureCoaster™ Posted on January 10, 2017

The Pasco County Public Transportation Department (PCPT) is pleased to offer a new bus route serving the Moon Lake area beginning Monday, January 23, 2017.  PCPT purchased two new buses to assist with its route expansion.

The new Route 16 will offer bus service to several new areas of West Pasco County.  Buses will run every hour – serving S.R. 52 from Bayonet Point to Moon Lake Road and continuing along Ridge Road to Gulf View Square Mall.  Passengers will also be able to connect to several other PCPT routes, allowing riders in the Moon Lake area to travel throughout Pasco County for work, school, shopping and more!

“Having access to public transportation is important to the growth of our community,” said PCPT Interim Director Kurt Scheible.  “Route 16 will provide service to areas that previously had no bus access, providing new and exciting connections to other routes.”

To kick off the new Route 16, PCPT is offering free rides the first week of operation – from Monday, January 23, 2017 to Saturday, January 28, 2017.
