Pasco Extension Offers Free Community Garden Plot Leases
Pasco Extension pairs applicants with an appropriate community garden location in Dade City or Wesley Chapel. Note: A new Land O’ Lakes location will be opening soon!
Gardeners will be able to:
- Grow their own food
- Work with compost
- Gain gardening experience in classes and seminars offered on site
- Learn from experts
- Get started with three, free vegetable plants (per plot lease, while supplies last)
Plots are leased on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information, or to lease a plot, call the UF/IFAS Pasco Extension Community Gardens Program at 352.521.1255 or e-mail kchristmas@pascocountyfl.net.
The Pasco County Cooperative Extension Service assists Pasco County residents by developing and delivering practical, educational programs in environmental horticulture; sustainable agriculture; 4-H and youth development; and family and consumer sciences.
